Universal Studios

{The 9th day of February, 2012}

So to begin the New Year, my family and I drove to Florida for a visit to Universal Studios! Yes, The (marvelous) Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was wonderful and no where near long enough. It was the perfect little vacation before we head off back to school and the perfect escape until we're forced back into reality from this three week long semester break. We spent two days in the park; one day in Universal and one day in the Islands of Adventure. Personally, I enjoyed the latter more because of the roller coasters and Harry Potter, of course. :) The weather was wonderful and unusually cold for Florida with highs of only 55 degrees. We thought we were going on an off-time, after New Year's and such, but it was still just as crowded as any other time, if not more. However, that didn't stop us from doing anything. :)

P.S. I'm so sorry about the delay in posting this blog! These pictures were on two different cameras and I had to get out of the lazy stage I've been in to put both collections on my computer. Oh, and also, a new update is possible soon... ;)

DAY 1(waaaayyy earlier that morning) : The "Getting There"

With such a long ride, I couldn't help myself. :)

Okay, so I normally try to avoid pictures in bathrooms, but I just had to let you see the size of this place! It's literally the size of my bedroom, if not more!

DAY 1 : Universal Studios

DAY 2 : Islands of Adventure

And for lunch, we ate here.

We ordered this yummy appetizer.

And I had half the best turkey sandwich before my dad stole the other half.

We were sprung up on this ride with no warning whatsoever, with a great view of the entire park for about 2 seconds, before we plummetted back down just as fast as we shot up.

Welcome to Honeyduke's. Here you can find every candy imaginable from the Harry Potter series. Yes, even chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott's every flavour jelly beans.

Look familiar? At Fluorish and Blott's, this little monster is caged up because he actually growls and snaps. It doesn't seem to stop customers from sticking they're fingers inside the cage. Such ignorant muggles.

See all these people? Yeah, we're ALL in line for the Harry Potter ride inside of Hogwarts. This was only about 1/5 of the line; it was over 1/2 mile long. The shortest waiting time for the ride was an hour and a half, but oh wow, it is worth it completely!!

Waiting and waiting and waiting. Oh, and waiting.

Oh look! We're actually close enough to touch the castle! *gasp*
